Yes, I just ran

oama authorize microsoft ding.ding at yale.edu

To see if this was a fluke, I also tested my other office365 account from my PhD program, and both again on my other device (macos on ARM vs. x86). All four worked.

My institution is finicky: I had to use Thunderbird's client_id specifically; nothing else seems to have been approved by IT. I didn't need to put in a client_secret though.
