[neomutt-users] I broke the threading inadvertently. What did I do wrong?

In parallel with installing NeoMutt, I have also done the same for the
most recent stable version of Neovim, which I use as my editor. I have
not yet gotten around to making any configuration changes/additions to
Neovim's defaults. I noticed that when I look at my recent
Proton-related mail thread on the web archives for neomutt-users, that I
somehow broke the threading inadvertently.

What happened while editing my reply I applied " gqG " from the top of
my reply in Neovim to correct the flow problems around my edits. This
resulted in the email's headers area losing their indenting/formatting.
I thought I corrected this manually, but apparently what I did was
either insufficient or it was already too late to correct. Can anyone
tell me what I did incorrectly and how to handle this in the future so I
don't break the threading of a thread?

As always, thanks in advance.
