[neomutt-users] Neomutt hangs on network change

Dear list users,
with my laptop I recently switch more often between different networks
(wifi/cable/vpn). Each time my running neomutt session would become
mostly unresponsive and unkillable. Only way to get rid of it is ctrl-z
and then kill -9 %1.
I am using quite a recent build (20201127-11-7ea394), but it has been
like that all the time as far as I remember.
Is that something I can change by configuring neomutt? Or is it expected
behaviour? I am using IMAP, I guess that is relevant. Setting imap_idle
to no seems to help at first, but with the next IMAP action (like
listing folders) it will hang.
Thanks for any pointer, even if it is just a simpler way to get rid of
the hanging session.
Sebastian
