[neomutt-users] Crashing when saving email to local folder

I have just compiled NeoMutt 20200814 from source, and begun to use
it, and I am finding that NeoMutt is consistently crashing with a red
crash message every time I try to save an email to a local mail folder
(Maildir). Saving to an IMAP folder does not trigger the crash.

Is this a known problem? If so, is there any workaround?
