I'm planning to make a Bug-Fix Release on Friday 4th April.
---
When I make a release, I always credit everyone who adds code/docs/translations
and often people who help track down bugs.
While I really appreciate all the help I get, this list is pretty short.
The one person who's always missing from the list is me.
Below, is a table of the commits since the last release (January):
Code (131)
120 Richard Russon (@flatcap)
5 Pietro Cerutti (@gahr)
3 Michael J Gruber (@mjg)
1 Rayford Shireman (@rayfordshire)
1 Mateus Etto (@Yutsuten)
1 Dennis Schön (@roccoblues)
Translation (11)
4 Ryan d'Huart (@homoelectromagneticus)
3 Chao-Kuei Hung (@ckhung)
2 Gerrit Rüsing (@kbcb)
1 Marius Gedminas (@mgedmin)
1 Emir Sari (@bitigchi)
Yes, coding is hard, but I'm always around to help.
But there are SO many other ways YOU could help.
- Publicity - Blog about NeoMutt
- Translations
- Finish off a language
- Help manage the Translators
- Documentation
- Main docs
- Primer docs: How to do X, Y, Z
- DYK - Did you know?
- Website
- Add docs
- Rewrite it
There's a lot that still needs fixing in and around NeoMutt.
Since the last release, I've been really busy working on a new Pager.
The Pager is the largest, ugliest, POS in the codebase.
I've been making progress, but it's been a stressful journey.
What would have helped me, is to see other people around doing something, anything.
Some evidence that someone else cares and that I'm not wasting my time.
It's time to step up.
Cheers,
Rich / FlatCap
