[neomutt-users] SMTP connection is anonymous (and so fails)

I'd like to be able to send email with NeoMutt 20170609 (1.8.3).
Compile options include  +sasl.

In my config, I've said this:

      set from = "jeff at p27.eu"
      set realname = "Jeff Abrahamson"
      set use_from = yes
      set envelope_from = yes

      set smtp_url = "smtps://jeff@mail.p27.eu:465/"
      set ssl_force_tls = yes

When I try to send mail, mutt makes an attempt and bails (without ever
asking me for a password).

      SMTP session failed: 554 5.7.1 <jeff at p27.eu>: Recipient address
    rejected: Access denied

Since I have access to the smtp server, I can see that what is happening
is this:

        Feb 18 20:37:30 nantes-1 postfix/smtps/smtpd[8984]: connect from
    10.244.88.92.rev.sfr.net[92.88.244.10]
        Feb 18 20:37:30 nantes-1 postfix/smtps/smtpd[8984]: Anonymous
    TLS connection established from
    10.244.88.92.rev.sfr.net[92.88.244.10]: TLSv1 with cipher
    ECDHE-RSA-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)
        Feb 18 20:37:31 nantes-1 postfix/smtps/smtpd[8984]: NOQUEUE:
    reject: RCPT from 10.244.88.92.rev.sfr.net[92.88.244.10]: 554 5.7.1
    <jeff at p27.eu>: Recipient address rejected: Access denied;
    from=<jeff at p27.eu> to=<jeff at p27.eu> proto=ESMTP helo=<birdsong>
        Feb 18 20:37:31 nantes-1 postfix/smtps/smtpd[8984]: lost
    connection after RCPT from 10.244.88.92.rev.sfr.net[92.88.244.10]
        Feb 18 20:37:31 nantes-1 postfix/smtps/smtpd[8984]: disconnect
    from 10.244.88.92.rev.sfr.net[92.88.244.10] ehlo=1 mail=1 rcpt=0/1
    commands=2/3

Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong that is causing that TLS
connection to be anonymous instead of identified with user/pass?
