Hello Juh,

not sure if you've followed the discussion on Issue #479. It turns out
this is not a bug but a documented feature, see for example:
https://www.neomutt.org/guide/configuration.html#ex-rc-backtick

To avoid such expansions, please surround your password with single
quotes:

set imap_password = 'my`strange_#/"password'
