I found an old note in my configuration to set $folder always *before*
any variables that use ‘+’ and ‘=’ mailbox shortcuts — just a guess
because I’m still using `getmail`.
I’ve found [1] where $folder is set multiple times but that looks
wrong. The arch example in [2] is even more plausible.
