[neomutt-users] new_mail_command - now looking for a read_mail_command

I like the new_mail_command which I use to write a notification
to a file. This file is monitored by my screen backtick command
so that the notifications is displayed in my screen caption.

However, when I have read the new mail, I would like to trigger
another command to clobber that file.

Is this do-able  / sensible to do from within neomutt ?
