Hello,
Neomutt removed support for the "ignore_linear_white_space" .muttrc
variable in the commit:

commit ec4149ef543297c5bc57cb64d459567903674875
Author: Pietro Cerutti <gahr at gahr.ch>
Date: Fri Jan 12 16:10:37 2018 +0000
Handle RFC2047 words split in the middle of a multibyte character

I have not checked what happened to the functionality, but since
ignore_linear_white_space is a valid option in the original Mutt, the
removal breaks .muttrc compatibility and is therefore probably
unintentional. (Also, https://www.neomutt.org/man/neomuttrc still lists
the variable.)

HTH & regards,
    Jan

P.S.:
I have strong aversions against 1) proprietary development tools and 2)
Javascript in web browsers and am therefore reporting here instead of in
your issue tracker.
